2016-2017: Hires played in 16 games, making three starts in her rookie campaign. She averaged 11.3 minutes per game, shot 34.9 percent from the field and shot 70.8 percent from the free throw line. She also scored 2.9 points per game and grabbed 1.4 rebounds per game.
High School: Hires attended Dreher High School where she played basketball for the Blue Devils. On the court, she was a two-time all-region selection, an all-state selection, a member of the 2015-16 AAA state championship team and the 2016 MVP for the state of South Carolina in the Georgia vs. South Carolina All-Star Game.
Personal: Daughter of Chryssandra and Marvin Hires... her mother Chryssandra played basketball for the University of North Carolina where she was a team captain. She also was a member of the track and field team, which won the 1988 ACC Championship. She was also a two-time Olympian in team handball.
