2015-16: In his freshman season, Kiplaget collected 10 top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing in the 4 x 400-meter relay at the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Championship meet. He came in fourth in the 800-meter dash at the LRU Powersox Invite, with his best 800-meter time of 1:57.25 coming at the Johnson C. Smith University Invitational.
High School: Kiplaget ran cross country and track & field at Kilibwoni High School in Kenya.
