2016-17: Kiplaget ran in five of seven races during his sophomore season. He finished in the Top 20 twice, notching a 15th-place finish (29:32.95) at the Bulldog Stampede (Sept. 24) and a ninth-place finish (17:37.21) at the Coastal Carolina Invitational (Sept. 9).
2015-16: Kiplaget ran in four races in his rookie campaign. His best finish came at the FMU Invitational (Oct. 16) where he finished 10th with a time of 17:38.
High School: Kiplaget ran cross country and track & field at Kilibwoni High School in Kenya.
