Cross Country Ready for Bulldog Stampede

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker men's and women's cross country teams will continue their 2016 campaign on Saturday (Sept. 24) at the Bulldog Invitational held at Wingate University. 

This will be the teams' first race since the Coastal Carolina Invitational back on Sept. 9.

The men finished second among Division II teams, and all seven runners placed in the Top 30. Jacob Chebii opened his sophomore campaign by finishing fifth (16:59.29), while Brandon Mullins followed Chebii right in for sixth (17:09.10). Sophomore Razzel Kiplaget opened the 2016 campaign finishing ninth (17:37.21), and Luke Elliott took 15th in 18:45.36. William Mosely (17th, 19:30.92), Jordan Bishop (18th, 19:48.37) and Jacob Maldonado (20th, 21:42.65) rounded out the Cobra men. 

Coker's women will compete for the second time this season, also finishing second among Division II competition at Coastal Carolina. Darroneshia Lott started off her 2016 campaign with a third place finish in 21:13.09, while Breanna Sullivan (9th, 23:46.37) and Tiffany Taylor (10th, 26:08.46)  also notched  Top 10 finishes. Angeline Flores (11th , 28:49.32) and Karley Weiner (12th, 34:06.26) also made strong showings in their first race of the year.

The women's race is slated for a 9:00 a.m. start, with the men starting at 9:45 a.m.
