Men Take 10th, Women 11th at SAC Championships

COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Coker men's and women's cross country teams ran at the South Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday (Oct. 22) where the men finished 10th and the women 11th

Jacob Chebii finished 34th in 28:25.5 while Brandon Mullins finished 37th in 28:30.5. Razzel Kiplaget crossed the line 66th 29:48.3, and Luke Elliott finished 79th in 30:46.3. Jacob Maldonado (83rd, 31:03.0), James Gregory (85th, 31:37.6), William Mosley (87th, 31:48.1), Jordan Bishop (90th, 32:04.7) and Xavier Murray (97th, 39:13.5) rounded out the men for the Navy and Gold.

Darroneshia Lott highlighted the women's race for Coker with a seventh-place finish in 18:42.8. The finish earned the junior a spot on the All-SAC First Team, and was her fourth Top-10 finish of the year. Breanna Sullivan crossed the line 64th in 22:06.3, while Angie Flores finished 76th in 23:52.2. Tiffany Taylor (24:42.3, 80th), Da'Sha Jobes (86th, 27:02.7) and Karley Weiner (88th, 33:29.4) finished out the day for the Coker women.

The Cobras will run again at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Montevallo, AL. The races are slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
