Cook, Bates Pace Cobras at SAC Championship

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – Both the Coker men's and women's cross country teams finished 12th at the Food Lion SAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Oct. 26) at Montreat College's Black Mountain campus.

Hannah Cook led the women's team in the 5K race, finishing in a time of 21:08 and placing 30th overall.  Naomi Watson and Kirsten Sanders were next for the Cobras with times of 22:58 and 24:08, followed by Taylor Hall and Ashley Thompkins with times of 24:44 and 24:51.  Completing the field for Coker was Aneka Dixon who finished the race in a time of 28:00.

Dylan Bates paced the men's team in the 8K race, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 28:05.  Tom Sizeland was next for the Cobras with a time of 28:41, followed by Britian Tomlinson and Fabian Hardy at 32:10 and 32:20.  Sean Arnold, Tre' Williams, and Patrick Tyler rounded out the field for the men's team with times of 34:27, 35:10, and 38:01.

Coker will next compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional meet in Charlotte, N.C., on November 9th
