Cook, Bates Pace Cobras at SAC Championship

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – Both the Coker men's and women's cross country teams finished 12^th at the Food Lion SAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Oct. 26) at Montreat College's Black Mountain campus.

Hannah Cook led the women's team in the 5K race, finishing in a time of 21:08 and placing 30^th overall.  Naomi Watson and Kirsten Sanders were next for the Cobras with times of 22:58 and 24:08, followed by Taylor Hall and Ashley Thompkins with times of 24:44 and 24:51.  Completing the field for Coker was Aneka Dixon who finished the race in a time of 28:00.

Dylan Bates paced the men's team in the 8K race, finishing 33^rd overall with a time of 28:05.  Tom Sizeland was next for the Cobras with a time of 28:41, followed by Britian Tomlinson and Fabian Hardy at 32:10 and 32:20.  Sean Arnold, Tre' Williams, and Patrick Tyler rounded out the field for the men's team with times of 34:27, 35:10, and 38:01.

Coker will next compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional meet in Charlotte, N.C., on November 9^th.
