2015-16: In his freshman season, Shakir scored two top-ten finishes, both coming in the triple jump at the LRU Powersox Invitational (3/19) and at the Wingate University Invitational (3/25).
High School: Shakir was a three-sport athlete at Vista Murrieta High School where he lettered in soccer, football and track and field.
Personal: Son of Mona and Attiyyah Shakir... he has three siblings Rahni, Khalil and Tyreese... Rahni is on the track and field team at Livingstone College.
