Cobra Men Ranked 23rd in Latest Golf World/Nike Poll

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team is ranked No. 23 in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches Poll. The Cobras have now been ranked in the top 25 in this poll for 33 consecutive weeks.

The Cobras have finished in the top 15 in all four tournaments this spring, including a pair of top-10 finishes. During the fall season they finished in the top five in four events.

Sophomore Christopher Fuga (75.1 average) and freshman Nicklaus Kennedy (75.5) have been the leaders for this year's team. Fuga has one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes individually, whle Kennedy has one top-five and one top-10 finish. Luke Coates (77.1), Aaron Beebe (77.2), Jake Murphy (77.7), Matt Kreider (77.8) and Josh Clay (78.2) have also been contributors throughout the season.

Coker is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Mount Olive Invitational on April 9. The team plays in the Conference Carolinas tournament beginning Saturday at The Challenge Course in Graham, N.C.

Along with the Golf World/Nike Golf poll, the Cobras have been consistently ranked by Golfstat throughout the season.
