Bio

2012-13: Coates finished the year with a stroke average of 77.6 in 21 rounds.  His lowest performance came at the Aflac Cougar Inviational (2/12/12) when he shot a 72 in the second round. 

2011-12: Coates played in 17 rounds for the Cobras during the 2011-12 season. He posted a stroke average of 77.9 over seven tournaments. He posted a low round of 71 (-1) at the Tusculum Fall Classic.

High School: Coates was a two-sport star in golf and basketball at The King's Academy. He was named to the 2010 and 2011 SCISA 2A All-State golf team and was a five-time All-Region selection. He was also named All-Region in basketball in 2011 and was the 2011 golf region MVP.

Personal: Son of Bridgette and Marty Coates...he has one sister Rachel...he is a member of Coker's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team.
