2011-12: Murphy was an First Team All-Conference selection, posting a team leading scoring average of 74 in 11 events. He had three top 10 finishes, posting a low round of 70 (-2) at the Bearcat Invitational.

2010-11: Murphy was a Division II PING First Team All-American, Division II PING All-Region, and an All-Confernece selection in 2010-11. He finished 3rd at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship. He had a team best 72.52 scoring average over 12 tournaments, posting a low round of 68 (-4) at the Division II Golfweek Spring Invitational. Jake also captured two tournament titles, Myrtle Beach Invitational and St. Andrews vs. Coker Dual, as well as six top five finishes.

2009-10: During his freshman year, Murphy was named Second Team All-Conference and was named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. He posted a scoring average of 73.4 over eight tournaments. His low round of the year was a three-under-par 69 at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate. He had three top five finishes.

High School: Murphy was a three-time NJSIAA Group 3 State Champion, a three-time First Team All-Colonial Valley Conference selection and he was named the Colonial Valley Conference Player of the Year at Hamilton High School.

Personal: Son of Lisa and Timothy Murphy...he has a brother Dylan who plays baseball at Mercer County Community College.
