Cobras In Seventh Place After One Round at Cougar Invitational

COLUMBUS, GA. – After one day at the Cougar Invitational, the Coker men's golf team is in seventh place with a team score of 299.  The tournament was delayed for nearly two hours after a sever weather storm struck the area, and as a result only one full round was able to be completed.

Senior Jake Murphy led the field for the Cobras, shooting a team low score of 72(+1).  Murphy dropped 15 pars in his first round, and is tied for eighth place individually.  Nicklaus Kennedy shot a 74 (+3) on the day, with 13 pars.  Luke Coates and Christopher Fuga shot a 76(+5) and 77 (+6), with Fuga knocking down three birdies.  Josh Clay rounded out the day for the Cobras finishing with a final score of 78 (+7).

The Cobras will finish rounds two and three tomorrow (Oct. 2), starting at 8 a.m.
