Cobras Finish Twelfth At Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a team score of 329 in the final round of the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge. The final round score left them with a two-day team score of 667 and in 12th place. 

Angela Luna led the way for the Navy and Gold, firing a final round 79. Her two-day score of 161 left her in a tie for 18th individually. Bella Harris finished with a tournament score of 164 after a final round 84. Margaret Mills and Ana Orlov both improved in the closing round, signing off on rounds of 83. Mills finished with a tournament score of 83, while Orlov finished with a 36-hole score of 172. Taylor Gaskins rounded things out for the Cobras, with a final round 89 and tournament score of 180.

Limestone College took home the team title. They finished with a team score of 626. Grace Glaze of Queens (N.C.) took home the medalist honors, shooting rounds of 80 and 72.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 28) when they travel to the Cherokee Valley Invitational in Travelers Rest, S.C.
