Cobras In Eleventh After Opening Round of Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team is in 11th place after the opening 18 holes of the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge. The Cobras fired a team score of 338 on day one.

Bella Harris led the way for the Navy and Gold, carding an opening round of 80. She is in a tie for 14th place heading into the final round. Angela Luna signed off on an opening day 82, leaving her in a tie for 29th place individually. Margaret Mills and Ana Orlov shot rounds of 87 and 89 in their first round, while Taylor Gaskins rounded things out for the Cobras, shooting an opening 91.

Queens University of Charlotte is atop the team leaderboard, after shooting a team score of 316. Meghan Holbrooks of Pfeiffer University is the individual overnight leader. She shot a round of 73 on day one.

For round two, Coker will tee off on hole 10 at the Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation. They will tee off from 10 a.m. to 10:36 a.m.
