Cobra Men's Golf Takes Ninth at Bearcat Invitational

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Coker men's golf team closed out play at the 2016 Bearcat Invitational with a ninth place finish after shooting 289 (+1) in the final round. The Cobras closed out the tournament with a three-round total of 894.

Young Harris College took home the team championship, while Wingate's Tyler Stone was the tournament medalist.

Leading the way for the Cobras were Will Bundy and Wanjoo Lee. Both players finished tied for 25th overall. Bundy carded a final round of 70 (-2), while Lee shot 74 (+2) in the final round. Jonathan Sundstrom and Ethan Carins both finished tied for 30th place. Sundstrom shot a one-over-par 73 in the final round and Carins signed off on an even-par 72. Rounding out the field for the Cobras was John Duke with a final round 77 (+5).

The Cobras will be back on the links again for the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship Sunday, April 17 through Tuesday, April 19 at the Etowah Valley Country Club in Etowah, N.C.
