Cobras in Twelfth After Day One of Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate

FLEMING ISLAND, FL – The Coker College men's golf team is in 12th place after the first 36 holes of the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. The Cobras opened with a team score of 307 (+23) in the morning round, then rebounded with an afternoon score of 294 (+10), giving them a day one score of 601 (+33). 

Will Bundy continued his stellar play he debuted in the fall, firing rounds of 72 (+1) in round one and round two. His 144 day-one total has him in tie for 16th individually. Jonathan Sundstrom signed off on an opening round 77, then came back with an afternoon round of 73. Wanjoo Lee and John Duke recorded rounds of 80 in the opening round. Lee came back strong with a round of 72 in the afternoon wave, while Duke carded a 77 in the afternoon. Fred Eldridge rounded out the Coker starting five with rounds of 78 and 93.

Armstrong State is atop the team leaderboard, after posting a 36-hole score of 572 (+4). Christian Constance of North Greenville University is the overnight individual leader, after shooting rounds of 64 (-7) and 68 (-3) on day one.

The Cobras will begin Tuesday's (Feb. 16) final round at 9 a.m. Coker tees off on holes 9-11 at the Golf Club at Fleming Island.
