Coker Cross Country Takes 24th and 25th at Royals Challenge

Charlotte, N.C. – The Coker men's and women's cross country teams finished 24th and 25th at the Royals Challenge on Friday (Oct. 11) hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.

Dylan Bates led the way for the men's team, with an 8K time of 28:31.  Tom Sizeland also broke the 30-minute mark when he finished the race in 29:19.  Next for the Cobras was Fabian Hardy (30:45), Britian Tomlinson (31:31), Tre' Williams (33:40), Sean Arnold (35:17), and Patrick Tyler (37:19).

For the women it was Hannah Cook that finished first for the Cobras, setting a 5K time of 19:48.  Naomi Watson was next with a time of 22:01, followed by Taylor Hall with a time of 23:32.  Completing the field for Coker was Ashley Thompkins and Aneka Dixon who finished in times of 25:04 and 28:14, respectively. 

Coker will next compete in the SAC Championship on October 26, in Black Mountain N.C.
