Cobras Welcome Bulldogs in SAC Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team returns home to the DeLoach Center on Tuesday (Oct. 17) to take on the visiting No. 23 Wingate University Bulldogs in a South Atlantic Conference matchup at 7 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at www.cokercobras.com .

The Cobras head into the matchup with a 9-10 overall record that includes a 5-3 mark at home.

Coker heads into the matchup with a well-balanced offense that boasts four players with 100 kills or more. Cobras with 100 or more kills include Christen Bragg (139), Madison Bingle (135), Alexis Berles (112), and Bethany Prochnow (112). In addition to leading the Cobras in kills, Christen Bragg has dished out a team-high 377 assists this season.

Defensively, Kara Overholt leads the way with a team leading 355 digs and is fifth in the conference in digs per set with 5.14. The middle of the defense has been held down by Bethany Prochnow who has collected 51 total digs on the year.

The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's match ranked 23rd in the nation in the AVCA Coaches Rankings with a 19-3 overall record. Abby Sauhler leads their offense with 262 kills and Treslyn Ortiz leads the Bulldog's defense with 310 digs.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
