Coker Women’s Track and Field To Compete in SAC Championship

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team will be back in action on Friday and Saturday (Apr. 15-16) when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Track and Field Championship.

The Cobras finished eighth in the 2015 Championship.

The Navy and Gold rank inside the top-10 in 10 events on the South Atlantic Conference performance list, according to Track and Field Results Reporting System.

Charity Snelling ranks second in the high jump and third in the 400-meter hurdles to headline the Cobras. She also ranks ninth in the triple jump on the SAC performance list. Kaylah Ruff ranks fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth in the 400-meter hurdles. Noelia Leake ranks inside the top-five in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. The SAC Runner of the Week (Mar. 21-27) ranks second in the 200-meter and fifth in the 100-meter.

Coker will look for continued success in the relays, ranking No. 2 in the 4x 400 and No. 3 in the 4x 100-meter relay.

Events will begin at 3 p.m. in Hickory, N.C.
