Cobras Head to Appalachian State for Exhibition

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's basketball team will prepare for its 2016-17 campaign with an exhibition contest at Appalachian State on Wednesday (Nov. 2).

The Cobras are coming off a season in which they went 9-19 overall and 8-14 in South Atlantic Conference play under first-year Head Coach Shannon Johnson.

The Cobras return plenty of talent, including junior guard Kendra Lambert. As a sophomore, Lambert averaged 10.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game last season, notching double-figure scoring 12 times. Senior forward Terrika Foster played and started in all 28 games for the Navy and Gold last season. She averaged 8.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on the season.

The Cobras will open the regular season Nov. 11 at the Stokes-Trainor Conference Challenge when they take on Limestone at Newberry College.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, N.C.
