2022-23: Competed in 12 meets in this season...Ran a personal best of 6.98 (Indoor 60M) at the DII Indoor Track & Field Pre-Nationals. Hughes also ran a personal best of 10.72 (Outdoor 100M) and 21.65 (Outdoor 200M) at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. 

2021-22: Competed in two meets during the indoor season...Competed in five meets during the outdoor season.

High School: Attended Cardinal Newman High School where he ran track and played basketball for the Cardinals...Won state championship in track...Played travel basketball for Adidas Gauntlet...Member of AB honor roll junior and senior year.

Personal: Son of Robert Hughes and Paula Barfield-Hughes...Has two siblings...Brother plays basketball for Ferrum College.
