Track and Field Compete at Pre-Nationals
The Coker Cobras headed to Virginia Beach to compete in Day 1 events.
Virginia Beach, Va. – The Cobras Luke Baker started it off on the men's side competing in the Heptathlon as he ran a time of 8.08 in the 60-meter dash. Baker also jumped 4.78 meters in the long jump and threw 9.48 tying for sixth in this event. Aaron Hughes ran a time of 7.03 in the open 60 to make it into the finals.
On the women's side, we had junior Nya Exum run a blazing 8.11 in the 60 prelims. Sophomore Lasira Nicholson was right behind her running 8.17. Naizja Redding and Arianna Wiliams placed 20th and 21st in the prelim hurdles running an impressive 9.61 and a 9.63.

The Cobras will compete tomorrow on Day 2 of the event.
