Coker Men’s Track and Field Set for SAC Championship Meet

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's track and field team will be back in action on Friday and Saturday (Apr. 15-16) when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Track and Field Championship.

The Cobras finished eighth in the 2015 Championship.

The Navy and Gold rank inside the top-10 in 10 events on the South Atlantic Conference performance list, according to Track and Field Results Reporting System.

Naim Fareed ranks first in the 400-meter hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles. The Cobras ranked No. 2 and No. 4 in the 4x 400 and 4x 100-meter relay, while Jacob Chebii ranks fourth in the 10,000-meter run. Malik Tarbell ranks sixth in both the 100 and 200-meter dash, while three runners rank inside the top-10 in the 800-meter.

Events will begin at 3 p.m. in Hickory, N.C.
