Coker Men's Golf Captures Fifth at Cougar Invitational

COLUMBUS, GA. – The Coker men's golf team finished fifth (of 16) at the Cougar Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 2).  The team shot a three round, combined score of 882.

Nicklaus Kennedy dropped 35 pars and finished the two day tournament just one over with a combined score of 214.  Kennedy's score tied for third overall.  Senior Jake Murphy shot an individual score of 221 and hit par on 40-of-54 holes, which led the tournament.  Luke Coates also sunk 35 pars of his own finishing with an individual score of 223, while Christopher Fuga tallied nine birdies and shot a 225.  Josh Clay completed the fifth spot for the Cobras, and shot an individual score of 233. 

The Cobras will swing their clubs again on October 28, as they head back down to Georgia to compete in the Matt Dyas Memorial.
