Cobras Take Third at Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker men's golf team finished in third place (of 19) at the Kiawah Island Invitational, after they shot a two-round total of 587. The Cobras finished just 11 strokes behind USC Aiken (1), and 10 strokes behind North Alabama (2).

Christopher Fuga led the field for the Cobras, finishing the two-day event with a combined score of 147 (+3).  Nicklaus Kennedy and Josh Clay finished with a stroke average of 149 (+5), while Jake Murphy and Luke Coates each shot a 150 (+6).  Each of the five Cobras who participated in the tournament finished in the top 35 (of 95) for lowest individual scores.

Coker will be back in action on Monday (Sept. 24), as they head to St. Augustine, Florida to participate in the Jay Jennison Memorial.
