Cobras Host Three Matches to Finish Week

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team will compete in three matches between today (Sept. 8) and tomorrow (Sept. 9). Today's match has the Cobras hosting the Trojans of Anderson University at 6 p.m. in the DeLoach Center.

Anderson has started the season with a 2-1 record, defeating Clark Atlanta and West Georgia. The Trojans suffered their first loss to Armstrong State. Marissa Mitter has led their offensive attack thus far with 33 kills.

The Cobras will host a tri-match on Friday, Sept. 9th when they take on Chowan at 3 p.m. and Converse at 7 p.m. in the DeLoach Center.

The Hawks of Chowan currently hold a 2-3 record, but will play today against North Greenville University. The Valkyries of Converse College will enter Friday's tri-match with a 1-2 record with their lone victory coming against Clark Atlanta.

Coker has started the season strong by collecting victories in all four of their matches in the Running Eagle Classic. The Cobras have a balanced offensive attack with three players that have 30 or more kills (Madison Bingle (38), Christen Bragg (32), Greysen Newberry (30)).
