Coker Women's Track and Field Competes at Camel City Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Coker College women's track and field team competed at the Camel City Invitational on Friday (Feb. 2). The Cobras turned in good marks in day one of events. Noelia Leake, Chauntress Like, and Angel Gale made their way up the Coker leaderboards. 

Leake took on the women's 60-meter preliminary race, placing 14th overall in the time of 7.81. The time is sixth-best in Coker history.

Like put her best foot forward in the women's one-mile race, crossing the line in 5:42.41, moving into second place all-time at Coker.

Lastly, Gale, cranked a time of 1:02.60 in the women's 400-meter race to secure the sixth-best time in program history.

The Coker College women's track and field team will take on day two of the Camel City Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 3) with events beginning at 1:00 p.m. Results from the events can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
