Coker Looking to Earn First Win on Thursday Against Catawba

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team is set to host the Catawba College Indians under the lights Thursday (Sept. 6) evening at Coker Soccer field.  The game will kick-off at 6 p.m. and will be available at www.cokercobras.com for a live video stream.

The Cobras and the Indians will each be looking for their first win of the season Thursday night, as each team has started off 0-2 on the year.

In the first match of the season against Valdosta State, Lizz Morris put on a goal-keeping clinic with an amazing 18 saves.  Sarah Rountree and Kristen Keenan gave Coker its first goals of the year, each scoring in the Cobras 4-2 loss against Young Harris.

Catawba is coming off of two devastating overtime losses.  Sophomore Taylor Arrowood has the lone goal for Indians.

This will be the last non-conference meeting between the two teams, as the Cobras will be joining the Indians next year in the South Atlantic Conference.
