CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Coker College wrestling team dropped their first dual meet of the season against The Citadel by a 40-3 final score on Wednesday (Nov. 9) night.
Jamal Lackey was the lone Cobra who collected a victory during the dual. Lackey tallied the first takedown of the match and steadily built his lead for a 14-8 decision at 174 pounds. Bret Shurina and Marcus Bisono held their own against their opponents by falling in tight decisions. Shurina dropped a 9-6 decision and Bisono lost by a 4-2 decision.
The Cobras will be back in action on Nov. 16 when they travel to St. Andrews to take on the Knights at 7 p.m.
