Cobras Defeated in Opener By Eagles

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Cobras opened their 2018 campaign by hosting Embry-Riddle University in a non-conference matchup. Coker struggled to find their rhythm and dropped their match with the Eagles, 20-10.

Faith Kent led the offensive charge, scoring six goals and assisting on another. Kent also had a team-high four draw controls. Haley McCusker added four points on two goals and two assists, while collecting three ground balls. Sarah Bryson and Katie Driskell each found the net for the Cobras. Driskell caused the most turnovers for Coker (2). Cassie Williams finished with 14 saves in the losing effort.

The Navy and Gold will return in a week for another home game. They will take on Converse College on Friday (Feb. 23) at 6:00 p.m.
