Haley McCusker scored three times in the first half, along with goals from Claudia Jenkins, Lindsay Ordemann and Faith Kent. Coker would trail 7-6 at the half, before an early second half goal from Catawba made it 8-6. The Cobras would score the next seven goals in the game, off the sticks of Ordemann, McCusker twice, Jenkins, Karah Huntsinger, Kent and Jenkins again to take a 13-8 lead with under 10 minutes to play in the game. Two Catawba goals a minute apart cut the lead to 13-10, before McCusker netted her sixth of the afternoon to get the lead back to four. The Indians would score four times in the final four and a half minutes to send the contest to overtime.

The teams traded chances for most of the overtime period, and Catawba was holding for one last shot. The Indians would stash home their 15th goal as the horn sounded to end the overtime period.

Cassie Dodge made 11 saves in the loss.

The Cobras will hit the field again on Saturday (April 2) when they travel to Methodist. Opening draw is set for 2:00 p.m.
