Coker Hosts Brevard in Saturday SAC Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's lacrosse (3-1, 0-1 SAC) hosts South Atlantic Conference foe Brevard on Saturday (Mar. 12) in an afternoon matchup. Video and live stats for the contest will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker's last action came on Thursday (Mar. 10) when they defeated Lees McRae 17-10. Faith Kent paced the offense scoring eight goals and dishing out two assists, while Haley McCusker added five goals and Cierra Davis and Claudia Jenkins each scored twice.

Faith Kent is currently tied for second in the conference in goals with 20, as well as tied for fifth in the conference with 23 points.

The Tornados come into the contest with a 2-2 overall mark and an 0-1 record in conference play. Offensively they are led by Caitlyn Nemeth who has poured in 13 goals and added one assist for a total of 14 points. In the cage they turn to Shelby Arensault, who has made 36 saves in four games and has an 11.22 goals against average.

Opening draw is set for 2:00 p.m. at the Coker College athletic field. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
