Cobras Set to Compete in Battle At Old South

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team will tee it up on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 24-25) at the Battle at Old South, hosted by The University of North Carolina Pembroke. The 36-hole, two-day tournament, will take place at Old South Golf Links in Bluffton, S.C.

The Cobras last competed nearly three weeks ago, taking fourth place at the Cutter Creek Invitational.

Angela Luna leads the way for the Navy and Gold, sporting a 76 scoring average. She finished fourth at the Cutter Creek Invitational, after rounds of 75 and 77. Bella Harris heads into the weekend with an 80.5 scoring average through two rounds, while freshmen Kelli Smith and Amber Winburn have posted scoring averages of 82 and 83 after one tournament. Taylor Mayers will be making her collegiate debut; she collected ten top-ten finishes in her junior career, climbing into the top 20 in the SCJGA girls' rankings.

Tee times will begin Saturday (Sept. 24) morning from the Old South Golf Links.
