Cobras in Fifth After Opening Round of Cherokee Valley Invitational

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot an opening round 332 on Monday (Mar. 28) at the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational hosted by North Greenville University.

Angela Luna and Bella Harris paced the Navy and Gold, firing rounds of 78. Both are in a tie for seventh individually heading into the closing 18 holes. Ana Orlov carded a round of 87, while Margaret Mills and Taylor Gaskins rounded things out with rounds of 89 and 90.

Queens University of Charlotte is atop the team leaderboard. They shot a team score of 307 on day one. Caitlin Gilchrist of Queens and Cassidy Gibson of Milligan College are the individual overnight leaders after opening rounds of 74.

Tuesday's round at the Cherokee Valley Golf Club will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Luna will tee off on hole six, Harris on hole seven, Orlov on hole eight, Mills on hole nine and Gaskins on hole 10.
