Luna Finishes Fifth at Converse Spring Invite, Cobras Capture Eleventh

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team concluded play at the Converse Spring Invite by firing a final round 362, leading to a two-round team score of 703. As a team, the Cobras finished in 11th place. 

Angela Luna led the way, finishing in a tie for fifth individually. Luna fired rounds of 77 and 80 for a 157 two-round total. Ana Orlov signed off on rounds of 83 and 92, while classmate Bella Harris shot rounds of 89 and 92. Rounding out the Navy and Gold was Margaret Mills, who carded rounds of 92 and 98.

Anderson University captured the team title, shooting rounds of 319 and 321 for a 640 tournament score. Krysta Schaus of Erskine College was the individual medalist. She signed off on rounds of 76 and 78 to take home the individual title.

The Cobras will have a short turnaround, as they will be back in action on Monday (Feb. 29) when they travel to Savannah, Ga. for the Armstrong Lady Pirate Invitational.
