Cobras Tip Off Season Against Pfeiffer Saturday Afternoon

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team will kick off another exciting year of hoops this Saturday (Nov. 9), as they prepare to host former Conference Carolinas foe Pfeiffer University in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.  The game will be available on a live video broadcast that can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker is coming off an exhibition loss against Duke University last Sunday (Nov. 3), where forward Jessica Cohen led the team with 15 points.  Tanesha Stenson led the team with seven rebounds in that game, while also contributing nine points, two steals, and three assists. 

This will also be the first regular season game for the Falcons.  The Pfeiffer squad is entering the game with 10 freshman, and five juniors.  Directing the young group will be first year head coach Roy Dow.

Game time is set to begin at 2:00 p.m., with tickets prices listed as $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
