Cobras Looking to Continue Strong Play at Saleeby-Stokes Versus Queens

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College softball team (23-9) will return to the friendly confines of the Saleeby Stokes Softball Field on Wednesday (Mar. 22) to welcome the visiting Queens University of Charlotte Royals for a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader. Game times are set for 2 and 4 p.m. with live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

Hartsville has been kind to the Cobras so far during the 2017 campaign, with the Navy and Gold sporting a 10-2 record in front of the Coker faithful.

Tayler Barcomb, Maria Williamson and Hannah Price headline the Cobras on the offensive end through 32 games. Barcomb leads the South Atlantic Conference with 39 RBI and 15 doubles. She also ranks third in runs scored with 30 and fourth in hits with 44. Williamson leads the SAC in home runs with nine and ranks third with 35 RBI. Hannah Price's 31 RBI rank fifth in the SAC and her four home runs are good enough for tenth.

In the circle, Coker's 2.22 team ERA ranks fourth in SAC, while all five pitchers have below a 3.00 ERA.

The Royals travel to Hartsville with a 14-15 overall record and a 0-2 mark in South Atlantic Conference play. Sydney Ditto leads the way for the Royals. She has 30 hits and 18 RBI through 28 games.

Gates to the Saleeby-Stokes Softball Field will open at 1 p.m.. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
