Cobras Host Trojans and Lakers in Pair of Doubleheaders

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College softball team will be back at the friendly confines of the Saleeby-Stokes softball field on Sunday (Mar. 20) and Monday (Mar. 21) to take on the Anderson University Trojans and Marcyhurst University Lakers. Sunday's South Atlantic Conference twinbill against Anderson is set for a 1 p.m. start, with Monday's opener scheduled for a 2 p.m. start. The Cobras are led by the quartet of Tayler Barcomb, Maria Williamson, Ashley Gallman and Riley Morris. Barcomb and Williamson have a team-high 17 RBIs, while Gallman has 16 and Morris has 15. All four are batting over .300, while Barcomb, Gallman and Morris has two home runs each.

Anderson travels to Hartsville sporting a 20-6 overall record. They are led by Caliah Niles, who is batting .421 with 31 RBIs and five home runs.

Mercyhurst hits the road with an even 4-4 overall record. They are led by Courtney Brothers; she is batting .440 with 14 RBIs and two home runs.

First pitch on Sunday (Mar. 20) is set for 1 p.m. at Saleeby-Stokes Softball Field with gates opening at noon. Game two will begin immediately afterwards.

First pitch on Monday (Mar. 21) is set for 2 p.m. with gates opening at 1 p.m.

Tickets for the game are available at the gate. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and all Coker faculty, staff and students get in free.
