Coker Falls to Limestone, Santos Sets Kills Record

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Joao Victor Santos set a new Coker single match record for kills with 27 kills in the Cobras' 3-2 loss to the Limestone Saints on Saturday (Feb. 20). 

The Cobras and the Saints played a back-and-forth grudge match as Limestone won sets one (25-16), three (25-20) and five (17-15), and Coker picked up wins in sets two (25-23) and four (25-19).

Santos finished his record setting afternoon with 27 kills, five aces and .447 hitting percentage. Also recording double-digit kills was Artur Cabral with 13 kills and three digs. Luke Hansen chipped in eight kills and 11 digs, while Liam Flaherty had a match high 13 digs. Aleksa Bijelic also handed out 46 assists for the Cobras.

Coker will return to action on Friday (Feb. 26) at Belmont Abbey. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
