Cobra Men's Volleyball Hits the Road to No. 7 Ohio State

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's volleyball team will hit the road on Friday (Jan. 22) for one of the biggest matches in the history of the program. The Cobras take on the nationally ranked No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes at 7 p.m.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Cobras and the Buckeyes, and the first NCAA Division I opponent Coker has faced this season. 

Coker (3-1) enters the match ranked No. 1 in the DI/II in aces per set, averaging 3.23 aces per set. Individually, Artur Cabral ranks No. 1 in nation in aces per set, averaging an ace per set, while teammates Gabriel Castro and Luke Hansen are is No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, with 0.91 and 0.80 aces per set. 

Ohio State (4-2) welcomes the Cobras to St. John Arena for their third straight home match. They are ranked in the top-10 in three statistical categories; aces per set (8th), hitting percentage (6th) and kills per set (10th).
