Cobras Welcome Warriors for Non-Conference Action

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's tennis team will welcome the Southern Wesleyan Warriors on Friday (Feb. 16) afternoon in non-conference action. Opening serve is set for 2 p.m. 

The Cobras head into tomorrow's match with a 3-2 overall record, collecting victories over USC Sumter (9-0), Benedict (9-0) and Erskine (8-1). In singles action, Mark Watt has led the Cobras with a 4-1 record at the No. 1 spot. Additionally, three Cobras have earned a 3-2 record in singles play, which includes Hunter Horton (No. 2), Felix Schweyer (No. 3), and Justus Lehman (No. 5). The tandem of Horton and Lehman have put together a 4-1 record in No. 2 doubles, while Henrik Hellbe and Watt have posted a 3-2 record at No. 1 doubles. Dominic Allan and Schweyer also have a 3-2 record at the No. 3 doubles spot. 

Southern Wesleyan heads into tomorrow's matchup with a 2-1 overall record with victories over Brevard (8-1) and Benedict (9-0). 

As mentioned, first serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Coker Tennis Courts.
