Cobras Host Pioneers in a Crucial Senior Night SAC Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team will return home to the Coker College soccer field on Saturday (Oct. 25) for their final regular season home match, as they take on the Tusculum College Pioneers. Live stats and broadcast of the match will be provided on www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are coming off a 2-1 road victory over Carson-Newman and a 1-1 road draw over Newberry and are sitting in the No. 7 spot in the conference standings.

The Navy and Yellow are led by offensive juggernaut Jorden Snell. Snell is in the top twelve of the conference in nearly every offensive category. The senior is fourth in points and goals with 15 and six, eighth in shots taken with 37 and eleventh in shots on goal with 15. Sophomore goalkeeper Kyndle Cobb in second in the conference with nearly 1,400 minutes played this season and is third in the conference with 63 saves and a .750 save percentage.

The Pioneers come to Hartsville with a 6-6-2 overall and a 3-4-2 record and are in the No. 8 spot in the conference standings after a 1-1 double overtime draw against Lincoln Memorial. They are led by senior Roberto Pimentel who has seven goals and an assist on the season.

Eight seniors on the men's squad will be honored before Saturday's match. They are Fernando Bedoya, Jordan Snell, Chase Russell, Joel Bristol, Giouliano Andrade, Tony Quiroz, Matt Taylor and Juan Arreola.

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
