Coker Drops Heartbreaker to Tusculum 1-0

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to the Tusculum Pioneers on Saturday (Oct. 25) night in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action.

After a scoreless first half of play and nearly scoreless second half, it looked as if the Cobras were headed to their eighth overtime match of the season, but Tusculum had other plans. The Pioneers took the lead with a goal in the 76th minute of action.

The Cobras continued to apply heavy offensive pressure over the final minutes of play, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Coker outshot Tusculum 12-11 during the match and held a 5-0 advantage on corner kicks.

Coker will return to action after a week off next Saturday (Nov. 1) at Brevard. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
