Cobras Looking to Knock Off Fighting Knights In Non-Conference Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse team will be back at home on Monday (Feb. 29) for the final game of a four-game homestand to take on the visiting Lynn University Fighting Knights in a non-conference showdown. Opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m. with live stats and video available at www.cokercobras.com.

Shane Wilson and Mike Martiello continue to pace the Cobras offensively. Wilson has a team-high nine goals to go along with one assist, while fellow senior Martiello has a team-best 12 points on seven goals and five assists. Josh Smith and Rylee Marsh come into Monday's matinee with seven and six points apiece. Smith points coming via three goals and four assists, while Marsh's are off four goals and two assists. Adam Zinsmeister, Austin Holgate and Garrett Kilgore round out the Navy and Gold offensively. Zinsmeister has two goals and one assist, while Holgate and Kilgore have chipped in one goal and one assist each.

Between the pipes, Anthony Malik has 26 saves in just over 168 minutes.

The Fighting Knights travel to Hartsville sporting a 2-0 overall record, after dropping No. 12 Mount Olive. They are led by the duo of Mikey Urso and Austin Jerhoff. Urso has six goals and three assists so far this season; Jerhoff has an even four goals and four assists.

Opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field, with gates opening at 1 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
