Cobras Look to Continue Strong Play at Queens University Invitational

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team is back in action on Monday Sept. 19 when they tee it up for the opening round of the Queens University of Charlotte Collegiate Invitational sponsored by Technocom. The 36-hole, two-day event will take place at the The Club at Irish Creek in Kannapolis, N.C., which tops out at nearly 7100 yards.

The Cobras are coming off a stellar third-place showing at the Kiawah Island Invitational. A final round team score of 287 (-1) vaulted the Navy and Gold five spots up the leaderboard in the final 18 holes.

Ethan Cairns leads the way for the Cobras, with a 71 scoring average on the season. Back-to-back rounds of 71 at Kiawah left Cairns in a tied for sixth individually. Taylor Ingle checks in with a season scoring average of 73, while Wanjoo Lee has compiled a scoring average of 73.5 so far this season. Will Bundy has a scoring average of 75.5 through two rounds, while Daniel Graves comes in with a scoring average of 76 on the season.

Monday's opening round will be a 10 a.m. shotgun start at The Club at Irish Creek.
