Cobras in Eighth After Day One of Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team sits in eighth place after day one of the Kiawah Island Invitational, after shooting an opening round score of 294.

Ethan Cairns led the way for the Navy and Gold, firing a one-under 71 in his opening 18 holes. Cairns is in a tie for 13th on the individual scoreboard. Taylor Ingle is just a stroke behind, carding an even-par round of 72 on day one. Ingle is in a tie for 21st individually. Wanjoo Lee signed off on a round of 75, while Daniel Graves shot 76 in the opening round. Will Bundy rounded things out for the Cobras, shooting a round of 81.

Limestone College is atop the team leaderboard. The Saints shot a team score of 280 on day one. Cabrick Waters of Limestone is the individual overnight leader after a round of 65.

The Cobras will tee off hole number one of the Osprey Point Golf Club in the final round. Coker tees off from 9 a.m. – 9:32 a.m.
