Cobras Debut at Kiawah Island Invitational

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team will begin its 2016-17 season on Monday (Sept. 12) when they tee it up at the Kiawah Island Invitational. The 36-hole event, being hosted by the University of South Carolina-Aiken, is being played at the Osprey Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island.

The par-72 Tom Fazio design is listed at 6,902 yards from the tournament tees.

Senior Will Bundy headlines the Coker lineup. Bundy is coming off a 2015-2016 season where he won the South Atlantic Conference individual championship, qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament and accumulated a 73.1 season scoring average.

Sophomores Wanjoo Lee, Ethan Cairns and Daniel Graves round out the returner in the lineup. Lee finished last season with a 76.4 scoring average and was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2016 SAC Championship tournament. Cairns finished his freshman season with a 77.5 scoring average in 16 rounds, while Graves carded a 77.2 scoring average in five rounds.

Taylor Ingle will be making his Coker College debut. Ingle was a two-time state champion and medalist at the Richard Winn Academy.

Tee times begin Monday morning (Sept. 12) at the Osprey Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island.
