Cobras and Indians Clash In Midweek SAC Nightcap

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team is back at home on Wednesday (Jan. 27) to take on the visiting Catawba College Indians in game two of a brief two-game homestand. Opening tip is set for 8 p.m. with live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are led offensively by the 16.1 points per game of Donte Samuels. Samuels ranks 14th in the South Atlantic Conference, while shooting 45.3 percent and pulling down 4.8 rebounds. Trey Marshall comes in averaging 11.3 points per game, while Aubrey Daniel and Jake Barrett are averaging 9.4 and 8.3 points per game. Defensively, Jalen Watson's 6.1 rebounds per game is 13th in the SAC. As a unit, the Cobras are tied for second in the SAC, giving up just 71.6 points per game.

The Indians travel to Hartsville sporting a 7-11 overall record and a 5-7 SAC record. They have three scorers averaging double-digit points per game, led by Jameel Taylor and his 15.2 points per game.

Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
