Coker Looking to Ground the Erskine Flying Fleet on Thursday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras will host the Erskine College Flying Fleet in the second game of a Conference Carolinas basketball double-header on Thursday (Jan. 3) night. The game will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras finished off the 2012 calendar year winning four of their last five games, including a pair of wins at home against Mount Olive (83-73) and St. Andrews (87-73). Led by Julian Nelson, Andrew Morris and Sharod Williams, the Cobras enter the game at 2-1 in league play. Nelson leads the team in scoring with 16.4 points per game, followed closely Morris with 13.0 points per game. Williams leads the team in rebounding with 8.4 per game, while also scoring 10.1 points per game.

Erskine enters the game at 6-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. In their most recent game the Fleet pulled out an 89-86 win in OT against Brevard College. Corey Sorrell is the leading scorer for the Fleet. He is averaging 22.4 points per game.

Tip-off for the men's game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. following the women's game at 5:30 p.m.
