Cobras Welcome Crusaders for Midweek Non-Conference Tilt

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker baseball will take on North Greenville on Tuesday (Apr. 11) in a midweek non-conference game. Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The two teams met in Tigerville, S.C. back on Apr. 4 with North Greenville rallying for the 7-5 win. Darius Coldiron led the Navy and Gold offensively, going 4-5 in the game and driving in one run. AJ Strnad went 2-4 and scored a run, while Thomas Lopez, Bryson Conner and Clint Allen each chipped in one hit.

Lopez leads the Cobras offensively, hitting for a team-high .360 batting average. His mark is 15th individually in the South Atlantic Conference. Lopez is also in the top-20 in the league in RBI with 31. On the other side of the ball, Griffin Hollifield's five saves are third in the league amongst closers.

The Crusaders come into the matchup 30-12 overall and 14-7 in Conference Carolinas, also ranked fifth in the Southeast Region. Josh Black is leading the Crusaders offensively, hitting for a team-high .388 batting average. His mark is ninth in Conference Carolinas.

First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. at Tom J. New Field at Dave Schmotzer Stadium. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
